Property brochures for photographers

The shoot is finished. The client still needs something they can send. A brochure is a natural extra deliverable if it does not mean opening design software at midnight.

Why should property photographers create brochures?

A brochure packages the photography into a client-ready PDF with a floor plan and listing facts. Photographers use BrochurePDF to add that deliverable without becoming layout designers, and without a subscription for standard brochures.

An extra deliverable, not a second career

Most photographer-client arguments are about files: which set, which size, which portal crop. A brochure answers a different request — “can you also send something we can forward?” — without you becoming the agency’s in-house designer.

You already sequenced the shoot. That sequence is the brochure. Cover is the hero exterior or the best room. Then the arrival, the living spaces, the kitchen, the bedrooms, the garden. The floor plan, if you supply one or the agent does, sits on its own page. BrochurePDF is there to hold that order, not to invent a new visual language for every job.

Charge for the brochure if you wish, or include it in a premium package. The software cost for a standard PDF should not decide the price. BrochurePDF is free for that standard creation.

Working with the agent’s facts

You will not always have the tenure and the EPC. That is fine. Leave gaps rather than guessing. The agent can complete the facts in the same project, or you can send a photo-led PDF that still looks finished because the photography is strong.

If the agent already listed the property, they may paste a supported Rightmove link. You should still replace portal images with the files you actually shot. Compressed portal tiles are not what you want your name on.

Choosing a template that serves the photos

Minimal and Contemporary keep chrome out of the way. Luxury gives larger frames when the architecture deserves it. Editorial suits a more magazine-like crop. Avoid a busy template when the brief was “quiet, high-end stills”.

Do not let a gallery become a contact sheet. Eight excellent rooms beat twenty average ones. If twilight or staging was part of the job, keep those frames together so the brochure does not jump between moods without warning.

File handover

Deliver the PDF with the same naming you use for the gallery — address and date. Tell the client they can regenerate the brochure if the price changes, rather than asking you to relayout a locked InDesign file. That is the practical advantage of a structured brochure over a one-off artwork.

If you also offer floor plans, Sketchplan and similar tools sit in the same ReHub family. They are optional. The brochure remains a free PDF product even if the client never uses another app.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need the agent’s branding?

You can produce a photography-led brochure with your own studio mark, or apply the agent’s logo if they supply it.

Can I include a floor plan I did not draw?

Yes, if you have permission to use it. Upload the plan as an image like any other asset.
